it usually meant having less people around to catch her practicing -- plegia's winters were always unforgiving -- and while it was cold and she had to wear more layers, the quiet solitude was soothing. the snow cushioned her feet and she could see her footprints, which was good for identifying where she made a mistake in the legwork.
she wondered if inigo felt the same. if he was the one to find her, she wouldn't mind. ]

he might be hiding from her, just a little.
it's fine, though. he has other things he can do to pass the time. he loves dancing in the snow.
a little ways into the surrounding woods he spots a trail of small, delicate footprints, and suspects, so he starts to follow them. over a hill, along a beaten path in the trees, and through to a clearing -- and there she is.
he hangs back at the edge of the treeline, not wanting to disturb her. he never got enough chances, when he was small, to see her dance; he's not going to squander this one now that it's here.
should she look his way, though, olivia will see a bright, open wonder on her son's face.]
olivia guuuuuurl
let's be snowed in somewhere together that's a fun trope]

if someone goes looking for him, they'll probably check the kitchen after they check the tent. in there, they'll find something odd propped up in front of the stone oven that their current lodgings have provided them with.
it looks like a pile of laundry. but there's a head of orange hair in it.
this is how gaius survives through the colder maps. he becomes a human marshmallow.]
no subject
it took her a bit to look through the whole camp, but she does make her way to the kitchen, spotting that... rather large looking pile of laundry and... orange hair. she approaches with caution, setting the lantern on the counter. ]
Um, Gaius? Are you all right?

big bro says everything is easy when you follow directions, right. so she's just looking at these instructions and glancing at the oven with an apprehensive look. she's never used the oven before okay, dojima says it's off limits. something about someone sticking their head inside and exploding.
also this dude is really tall and has this slightly intimidating air about him (you'd think after hanging around fucking kanji for like a year would make her immune, but w/e) and it's making her nervous ok! ]
yes???
wow this is hella late sorry!
halfway through setting up the piping bag, she catches herself remembering that izumo is still with her and offers him the bag. ]

MY SHY BABY
ANYONE HAVE AT ME
yeah this too WHY NOT (anyone again)
here goes!
Sometimes it starts with a barrage of SMS messages from everyone in your goddamn contacts list declaring that, indeed, luck (or else some other, perhaps more sinister, abstract force) has come through and dumped a snow day upon Namimori middle high, and sometimes it continues with your preferred company getting tied up in "close combat arctic training" (not doubting Reborn's methods, not really, but the fuck?), and sometimes -- indeed, least fortunately -- it ends with you stuck in hell on earth. With less fire for the damned and more steam rising up from fresh hoijicha, maybe. But that doesn't make it any less fucking unbearable.
Takesushi is pretty empty, given the weather -- snow's still falling steadily, even, and Gokudera watches it from a booth near the windows, running a finger absently around the rim of his tea cup, sulking and not even minutely trying to cover it up.
He just had to walk to Tenth's place without messaging him first, he just had to run into Yamamoto on the way home... add that to the coincidence list. The whole thing's getting out of hand. ]
... Tch. [ A sigh. ]
no subject
Which was not exactly what Yamamoto was doing, but hey -- no school, which meant he could hang out with his friends! What an awesome way to spend the day, right? Even if "hanging out" sometimes meant weird training for the mafia game (totally the kid's idea, but he's always liked a challenge), but that was fine! They all had fun that day and Yamamoto never turned down the chance to hang out with Tsuna and the others.
It was how Yamamoto found himself currently, coming out from the kitchen with another cup of hot tea and slid in the seat across from Gokudera without so much as a by-your-leave, signature grin in place. ]
It's pretty cold outside! Want me to get some more tea for you?
