Well, for one, he's got silver hair in a bowl cut. So, definitely not a doppelganger. Speaking of, I do know one. She's a nice girl. Kind of quiet, though.

but he does come to a stand, if only to get a better look at frey. he noticed the way frey stiffened earlier, wondering if maybe getting compliments from strangers is something he's unused to. which is a shame, he thinks, because frey is rather good looking, personality aside. ]

[Being offered a handshake like that is anomalous to Frey's experience. A Suit is viewed as synonymous with death itself, and so...people tend to avoid contact. They tend to walk on the other side of the street, sit at tables far away, speak behind hands and generally avoid interaction wherever possible.
And his manner of dress makes his vocation obvious. Unlike others, he doesn't bother trying to hide it - doesn't see a point in pretending he's something else just so people will deign to be near him.
So the length of time he spends debating with himself is just long enough to stand out, before he almost cautiously grasps that gloved hand for a brief handshake. While the heat is odd, he assumes it's the nature of this man's mana]
