THE DEETS:
ONE ➔ CONFESSION: You've been admiring this person from afar, or you've been friends with them for a while. Either way, you've finally worked up the courage to admit how you feel!
TWO ➔ LOVE NOTES: Send your crush personalized little love notes for them to find! Flick them at your crush, or hide them in their shoes! Draw pictures of you two kissing! Heck, even an old fashioned YES/NO checkbox note will do. But you've gotta get their attention with your written prowess! Get creative! Maybe they'll come up to you and you'll find true love!
THREE ➔ KISSING BOOTH: You're working a kissing booth, for whatever reason. Charity, for your school, or just because you got conned into it. But will something special bloom from a chance encounter with a booth guest? Or will you just be embarrassed for life, and punch your friends for getting you into this later?
FOUR ➔ LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: You've been completely dazzled by this specific person! Your heart races, you have a cold sweat... whoa wtf is happening. You simply must get to know them! Maybe it was meant to be!
FIVE ➔ TSUNDERE STYLE: Sure, you like them, but you can't show that by being cute or cooking them lunch, hell no. You have to punch their shoulder and tug on their hair, obviously. W-what? They're complimenting you? Try not to blush too hard, or shove them too much.
SIX ➔ CAPULET & MONTAGUE STYLE: You're both already taken, or you simply can't be together for some reason! Your families hate each other, your friends hate each other, or you only see each other once a year! But you don't care, you have tonight, and romance is in the air. Maybe you can break away from what can't be, just for one night of fun and love.
SEVEN ➔ NEVER SAY NEVERO: You're super intent on making this person yours! You're willing to go to the extreme to garner their affections! How can they say no to extreme outbursts of love and other hard-to-ignore signs of affection? Though, it might be easier to just ask... but that's not big enough for your love!
EIGHT ➔ TLC: You suddenly feel blue, and you feel the need to be comforted. It's time for some sexual healing.
NINE ➔ SMOOTH OPERATOR: Flowers, candlelight, a bottle of champagne... it's time to woo your sweetheart!
TEN ➔ GRAB SOMEBODY SEXY TELL 'EM HEY: There's something about messing around in a public place, where anyone can walk in on you anytime. Try to keep quiet, the woman over in the bathroom stall next to you might hear you and your partner heating up and fooling around.

He turns to Roxas.]
What about the cafe down the street? That's a good place, right?
[And his eyes wander down to Roxas' hand. If he reached out and took it, pulled him along, that... wouldn't be too weird right? He contemplates this distractedly as he waits for an answer.]
no subject
Yeah, that's fine.
[ It'd been the one that he had plan on going to anyway, all the other places on the street not catching his interest. They are either too packed with people or just didn't have good drinks on the menu. Or more like drinks he didn't particularly care for. So the little café sounds like a good idea.
Roxas looks to Sora, a slight smile on his face, oblivious to the other's thoughts. ]
Let's go before it starts raining even more.

The cafe is warm when they finally come in through the cafe's doors. And the item in his pocket feels heavier than it really is. He wants to give it to Roxas right off the bat after he'd gone through the lengths he did to get it. But it doesn't feel like the right time. It doesn't feel like Roxas has even gotten the hint yet.
Wait. Maybe--!]
So uh... did you want something to drink? I can get you something warm while we dry off.
no subject
He breathes a quiet sigh of relief at feeling the warmth of the place, not even recognizing how awkward it should be holding hands with Sora. There's a comfort, however unconscious it is. Bringing a warmth that he figures coming from the small shop itself.
His attention snaps back over to Sora at the question, having looking for a place to sit. ]
Oh um. I guess. [ pause as he looks to the menu ] I just want some hot chocolate, really.
But you don't have to-
no subject
[He's off like a shot, squeezing his way past a few people to situate himself in line. He orders the same thing as Roxas, and eventually comes back after some time with two cups of hot chocolate. He finds the table Roxas has saved for them and he settles down on the other side of it.
Here... One hot chocolate!
[His hands fall to his lap after that, fiddling with his fingers. He's really going to do it this time, he swears he'll do it. He'll tell Roxas.]
no subject
Thanks.
[ Roxas takes a sip of his hot chocolate, eyes glancing over the rim of the cup to look at Sora. The curiosity really is eating at him. What's so important that it's making the other nervous to talk to him?
He puts his cup down, might as well get this started, right? ]
So, um. What.. did you want to talk about?
no subject
[Well, here goes nothing. He's got his hand in his pack, pulling out his gift. He sets it on his lap and turns it in his hands nervously. ]
Hey Roxas... we're friends, right?
no subject
Roxas has to wonder why he gets the feeling this might get incredibly awkward for him in the next few minutes. Awkward in that he doesn't know what Sora really wants to talk about, maybe an idea but nothing solid. The idea though makes him pay attention a little more, thoughts less on that hot chocolate and more on the other. He'd almost be worried if this is anyone but Sora.
Then again, bad things can always happen, right? So is this one of those times? ]
Uh, yeah. I'd like to think we are, unless you don't think so..?
[ There might be a touch of uncertainty by the end of his sentence, accompanied by the look on his face. ]
no subject
I really like being your friend...
[And then here it comes. Here's the point of no return. Once he says this, there's no going back, whether Roxas decides.]
But I dunno if... I can be anymore.
no subject
[ Out of all the things he expected (and didn't expect) that had to be the one of the very last things that cropped up in his mind. Because hearing Sora say that he didn't want to be friends anymore... it's practically unheard of. You had to have done something really horrible in order for the other to say that.
Did that mean he did something wrong?
Thoughts whirled in Roxas' mind, wondering just when it had happened, what did he do that would make the other turn like this. To say that they couldn't be friends anymore, despite the nice words before hand. Were they just said to soften the blow? Probably, considering all things. Because Roxas didn't make friends as easily as Sora could, didn't trust people enough to let them get close to him. But when he did, they had all of his trust and he would do everything he could to help them. His friends, the few he has, they mean a lot to him. Especially Sora.
Did this mean that he didn't mean as much to the other as he thought? Assumed? Well, he feels like an idiot. ]
... Oh. I see. That's... okay, I guess.
[ His fingers clutch on to the cup, the last gift he'd probably get from Sora.
He can't fake a smile, doesn't even try to; instead just nods before starting to get up. ]
I'll just, um. Leave then. Sorry... for being a bother.
no subject
For Sora, everything to do with Roxas is about heart.]
No! Wait! [He reaches out across the table, nearly knocking over his own drink. It doesn't matter so long as he stops Roxas before he leaves.] Hear me out okay?
That's not what I meant.
[He slows down a little, calmer now that he has Roxas' wrist in his grasp, but not by much.]
I mean, that is what I meant. But it's not what you think!
no subject
Pity is the last thing he wants from him.
But he pauses because he always does for him, always waits just a second more to hear what he has to say. Holds on to that shred of hope and light that maybe he thought things wrong, that they aren't what he thinks they are. And maybe a small part of him really does hope that Sora means it differently than he thinks.
Roxas looks over his shoulder, eyes narrowed but there's questioning and maybe a little bit of hurt and anger in his eyes with an underlying hope. ]
Then what did you mean, Sora. Because I don't think it's really all that hard to understand.
[ He wants to leave now, to get out and not have to see the other for a good long while. He needs to think, to find a place to hole himself up and just think about everything- all the possible things he did wrong and hadn't realized. Think about all the possible reasons why Sora didn't want to be friends anymore.
This is just... too much right now and he needs time. Time and solitude. It's a good thing it's raining too. ]
It's fine. I can just go.
[ He makes to tug his hand from Sora's grasp, gets ready to really book it out of there. ]
no subject
[He blurts it out carelessly. No time to compose what he's saying or for things to make sense. As long as he starts talking to keep Roxas from going. From there, he can figure out what to say next so long as Roxas is standing there and listening. '
Standing there' and not 'long gone' being the key.]He always knows just the right thing to say to you even when I can't think of anything. And Hayner always has all these dumb inside jokes with you that I don't get. Xion always gets you the best stuff on your birthday, stuff that I thought up too but haven't gotten a chance to give to you yet. And sometimes I can't figure out what to say to Riku or Kairi when they really wanna hang out 'cause I sometimes I say I'm busy because... I'm waiting to see if someone else is free.
[He's speaking a little calmer now. And none of this will make sense to Roxas, he knows. But every little piece of it is true, and it's something he's been feeling for the longest time.]
... You get what I mean?
no subject
But what did Sora mean, then?
The more he listens, the more the anger and hurt eases from his body, leaving only the confusion behind at the other's words. He tries to figure it out, piece together the puzzle that Sora has placed in front of him for him to figure out. It probably isn't has hard as he's making it out to be but. Can it really be so simple? Or is he just making things up in his head again. ]
.. I'm not sure... if what I'm thinking is the same as what you mean.
[ He really doesn't but that small well of hope starts to spring up again, at the possible thought he has, though knowing that he shouldn't.
Roxas meets Sora's eyes, wanting to see everything there. ]
Just.. tell me. What are you trying to say to me, Sora.
no subject
But ... after seeing those emotions play out on Roxas' face, he really has no choice. Despite how scary it is, he wants to do it, he reminds himself. So, he flounders only for a few seconds before he reaches for the item left on the seat. He'd pulled it out earlier, but it's now or never.]
Here.
[In Roxas' hand, he places a star shaped fruit, lightly dusted with dried seasalt from the time he'd fallen into the water after trying to retrieve it.]
I used to think it was just girly stuff Selphie made up.
But... if what they say about it is true. Then... if I wanted to share it with anybody. It'd be you.
no subject
Oh he knows the stories, hears them enough times from the girls, but whether he believes them or not is a different matter. Of course he just thought they'd been silly little notions that lovesick girls thought up, some romantic thoughts of a "forever" with someone else, maybe their ideal other person. It all seems ridiculous before.
But now, the weight of the fruit just seems so much heavier than it should be and it's all because of the person who handed it to him. ]
A paopu...?
[ For just a second, Roxas holds his breath, thoughts whirling again at the implication, at the words that Sora just said. Sharing with him? And only him? ]
Sora, I-
[ Cutting himself off quick, he isn't sure what to say. Should he believe in what he's thinking, believe in the possibility that Sora may actually care for him in that way. Or is it in just another sense of having a bond with him, to just make their friendship last even through the toughest times.
But then again, Sora had mentioned of not wanting to be friends anymore. So if not friends then- ]
Why me? What... do I really mean to you.
[ He has to know, needs to. ]
no subject
I wanna see you all the time. I wanna hang out and make you laugh and show you stuff that you really like, things you've never seen before. I wanna cheer you up when you're sad.
I like you. Really like you.
More than friends...
no subject
But here someone is, someone who's gone through so much and has the affections of so many other people. Someone who always sees him, for some reason or another. Choosing him. ]
I-
[ He still isn't sure of what to say, looking at the paopu fruit in his hand and then looking at Sora again.
A part of him wonders if this is a joke, some kind of prank that the other is trying to pull on him and in that very second he'll see a big grin telling that it is a joke. That Sora really didn't have those kind of feelings for him, that he didn't care as much as he's letting on. That he's just being played for a fool and he's on camera for later laughing material.
But this is Sora. And that, more than anything, tells him that this isn't a joke. When it comes to emotions, it's kind of hard to after all. ]
I.. didn't know you felt that way.
[ The beating in his chest increases as the thought really begins to sink in. And once it really does, his cheeks flush a little. He bows his head in order to hide it, but it's really no use.
An awkward chuckle. ]
I guess I should apologize, for reacting like I did.
