[ she looks a little dazed when he pulls away, her lips chasing his briefly before her head falls back on the pillow. a phone call suddenly seems so tedious. ]

[he's lucky enough to catch a glimpse of it--her closed eyes, all pursed lips and soft skin. he can't resist; he presses a soft, slow kiss to the edge of her upper lip.

then he'll lean over for her, grasping her phone before he settles back over her, supporting himself on his elbows.] There we go.

[he smiles, offering the phone to her.] Easier to get it over with now, right?

[ her lips purse in the tiniest pout, staring up at him through the fall of her bangs for a moment. but she takes the phone, her lips easing back into a silly smile. ]

[ she flips through her contacts for emmeryn, feigns a swollen ankle (which is actually not completely a lie, she landed a little awkwardly during some choreography last night during practice) and gets the day off with no objections.

[YEAH SON fuck yeah

all the while, gaius rests at her chest, his temple to her collarbone as her fingers thread through his hair. occasionally he will give her neck a lazy kiss, dangerously close to the moments where she has to speak for emmeryn again. he's a jerk that way.

when that's over with, he dissolves into kissing her neck regardless, slowly and sweetly. he pries her fingers from her phone and sets it down on their nightstand.]

There. Now we've got nothing to worry about. [just them and the morning and maybe sleeping some more. and maybe more than that. he leans and nips softly at her ear, muttering.] You wanna take a shower later? I'm kind of up for sleeping a little more.

[ yeah he is a huge jerk tbh, but she still loves him anyway. so she simply just at least the phone call doesn't take too long and she giggles a little when he nips her ear, nodding. ]

That sounds great! Did you have anything else you needed to do today?

[ tbh just staying in bed the whole day would be nice too. ]

N-ope. [he smiles with all his teeth, his breath against her ear. he loves it when she giggles. he settles himself back on his knees, bringing his hands to wait at her hips.]

Nothing, really. I think we've got food for the day, unless you wanna order out. [they're not leaving tonight unless she mentions it first. his palms run slowly and warmly up her sides, halting again at her waist.]

[ oh my god. she's definitely squirming now, brief spurts of laughter tumble out when he gets to a particularly ticklish spot. eventually she tries to grab his hands. ]

[and every time she tries to grab them, he slides his hand away and continues. he's making a mental grocery list of every little ticklish spot. don't disturb him, babe.]

Maybe later, if I think you're feeling well enough. There a problem, babe?

[ what a jerk!!! she's actually outright laughing now, doubling her efforts to grab his hands. eventually, she tries to roll away from him, gasping through her laughter. ]

G-Gaius! [ pffhahaha ] No.... s-stop! Please!

[cassonade]

[it's her fault for being cute!!]

What's that? [when she rolls onto her stomach, he pins her down, still tickling up her sides as he presses his mouth to her ear.] You want me to stop? Speak up!

[ oh my god she can't breathe. she tries to squirm her way out from under him, pulling at his hands. eventually, she gives up and just tries to cover her sides with her arms. ]

S-Stop tickling me!

[cassonade]

[gaius lets out a good-natured laugh, releasing her sides to wind his arms around her belly, over her arms. he squeezes her, kissing her shoulder.]

Cavities. [even he sounds a little breathless.] You're gonna give me one in every tooth.

[ she can't help but laugh too, finally able to catch her breath. ]

It's a good thing I know a great dentist.

[GROANING. gaius buries his face in her back.]

[ what a cute. she lifts one of his hands to kiss his knuckles. ]

Dentists have been after me for centuries. [he kisses the top bulb of her spine, just under the back of her neck.] I take care of my teeth. I floss and everything. I've had my bad cavity experiences when I was younger and I am not ready to relive them, trust me. So why go back?
