[ He growls in response, both at the misunderstanding and the loss of her. So now it's his turn to move in, coming right up against the edge of the sink, hands quickly sliding to the outside of her thighs because he's trying not to be overly aggressive right now. ]

[ His emotions are all over the place - frustration, aggression, confidence, lust, just to name a few - it's the jump that gets him to sober, at least a little. So when he speaks his tone is more even than before. ]

Tia, I swear I'm not playing. Yes, I am propositioning you: I'm asking you if you want to come to my place and spend the night. Because right now that's something I really want to do.

[ There's a part of him that cannot believe he's saying this, but it's easily drowned out. ]

[just as a part of her is wondering if maybe she did get drunk off tequila somehow. her heart gets stuck in her throat and her skin tingles with anticipation and her brain screams yes yes yesyesyesyes-

she grabs his collar and ends up sort of mashing her mouth against his, all teeth and lips and tongue before she pulls away again.]

Yeah. Yes- damn you, just take me home already, fuck.

[ He's startled by her sudden reaction, left hanging when she just as suddenly pulls away-

and then none of it matters anymore and really the bathroom doesn't seem so bad either because then at least he wouldn't have to wait... His hands tighten on her for a second before he's just setting her back on her feet and heading for the door, holding it open for her. ]

[she takes a deep breath, straightening out her clothes and trying to be chill about this. but it's hard and strange and she doesn't really know what exactly to expect. for all her talk, she's about as experienced as Jori in these situations.

in any case, she steps past him and out, looking for the nearest exit.]

(i was gonna be hideous and say they were in a restaurant two miles from his place but i am totally ok with anything.

hell they can even get it on in a car. if one of them is driving.

[ As previously stated he is more of a motorcycle guy but that isn't always very practical when he has guests. What would happen if he had to take both Mag and Tia somewhere? So that's why he has the sports car that he's currently headed toward: because sometimes a backseat is a good thing to have. Heh. Also because Jori, no matter what else people might think of him, does like to drive fast. He also drives stick.

...This is kind of weird, though, isn't it? His desire hasn't changed at all, but this silence feels tense, stretched to the point of snapping. Not that he has any idea how to fix it. ]

[she almost forgot that he knew how to drive, so when she sees him heading towards a very sleek car she can't help but ogle it for a moment. and then immediately kick herself mentally because wow, so not cool, Tia. so not cool.

she suddenly feels super self-conscious and idly runs both hands through her hair to try and straighten it. it just ends up tangling even more though and she gives up, quickly heading to the car. it's nerve-wracking and almost terrifying, but she wants him. she wants him to the point where she doesn't even know what to do with herself.]

[ He unlocks the car but doesn't actually go around to open her door for her, because it would take him an extra twenty seconds and his nerves are screaming at him about even that much delay. It's enough that he really is almost tempted to just use the backseat, but that would defeat the purpose of leaving the bathroom in the first place, not to mention the fact that it'd be a tight fit for him.

He does, however, stop to take off his jacket and toss it in the back, for reasons that should become clear as soon as he slides into the driver's seat: even with just his shirt on his body temperature's started to go up. As always, Jori smiles slightly as he turns the car on and feels the powerful motor hum to life, ready to leap away as soon as he lets it.

Hell, it's a good thing this is a manual. As he rests his hand on the gear stick he's all too aware of the proximity between his hand and her leg, but he'll have to keep his hands to himself. Still, it prompts him to finally break that silence as he asks in an almost too casual tone: ]

[which is fine with her as she gets in as soon as she hears the click of the locks. she can't help but glance over at him when he takes off his jacket, and the heat coming off him is enough to make her almost uncomfortably warm herself. the lacy shirt she's wearing doesn't really reflect heat very well, which ends up clinging to her skin while she straps herself in.

she pulls her hair up into a messy bun and tries to keep her breathing even, though the temperature and the fact that he's right there doesn't really help. her fingers clench the armrest and she takes a deep breath.]

Fuck speed limits.

[ He glances over at her, a mistake since considering how pulling back her hair has revealed the smooth line of her neck and the curve where it meets her shoulders, not to mention the way her top is hugging her-

Arceus, he'll be glad just to make it through the front door. The next time his so-called sensible half objects to seducing Tia in a restroom he's going to remember this. ]

[ He shifts gears and touches his foot to the pedal and they go from zero to forty in a heartbeat. There's a certain amount of sensibility to his driving because he's not Mr. Tokyo Fucking Drift over here, no powersliding around corners, but hell, they'll be there a few minutes faster and that's all he wants. ]

[there's a startled squeak from her when the car accelerates, her grip tightening on the seat as she keeps her eyes on the roof of the car. she's not sure how she feels about looking out the window and the last thing she wants is to get motion sickness and puke all over his nice hot car. it'd kill the mood for sure.

unfortunately, she doesn't exactly remember how far his place is from where they were, so it's after a moment before she finally speaks up:]

If you crash this car I am going to rip your skin from your flesh and hang you in a tree by your ankle with your entrails.

[ He doesn't answer her because it's literally 45 seconds before he's pulling into the driveway of a house; he rents the ground floor while another tenant rents the second floor; he prefers it to a more traditional apartment building and it suits him better than renting a whole house.

He turns the car off but pauses for a second with his hand on the door handle. Now that the door is ten feet away his heartbeat has sped up again as has his breathing. It's still the one thing on his mind, so this time he says it out loud as he gets out of the car: ]

[she hasn't exactly been to his house before, so she's totally checking it out when they get out. it's a nice distraction until he speaks.]

Because this is a pretty torturous way of testing my self-control. Only reason I'm not kissing you right now is cause it'd be a shame to come this far and not make it through the front door.

[she sort of just. stares at him for a second before following; it's strange hearing him say things like that, if only because she's always assumed he was sort of oblivious to everything especially things like these. it only strengthens the anticipation that much more and she's left feeling nervous and wondering what's going to happen next.]

[ He's unlocked the door and opened it, but he pauses when he hears that. If it makes you feel better, Tia, he's got that familiar confused look on his face; she's honestly lost him. ]

[in any case, she's heading in, looking around as she toes off her shoes. so this is his place. :|a]

[ It is indeed. Tia happens to be standing in the main living room with a couch and armchair around a coffee table, all loosely oriented towards a tv on the other side of the room. On the far side of the couch is a bookcase that seems to hold at least as many movies as books: closer inspection will reveal the movies to be a mix of action, thriller, and comedy with a few obviously Hikari-approved movies. The books seem dominated by mysteries and more thrillers, with a not insubstantial section of cookbooks. The floor is hardwood, the walls painted a light cream with blue-grey trim. The place is a little cluttered, but clean; a pair of sneakers have been kicked off near the door, a movie case lies out on the table next to a couple of remotes and an old magazine. But the floor is clear and there aren't any dirty dishes or clothes or empty cans strewn about.

The only way to go is down a hallway to the right - a door on the left is open and leads to his bedroom, the hall splits to the right towards the bathroom and a couple of closets, and continues straight ahead into the kitchen. Past that is another door which seems to be another bedroom, but that is the extent of his place. It's much the same as this first room: simple, clean, and mostly undecorated except for various photographs scattered about. Three in particular hold a place of prominence: a picture of him, his parents, and all his siblings, a picture of him smiling as he holds Hikari on his right shoulder and her twin Ruka on his left, and a picture of him, Tia, and Mag, with all of them looking (for once!) relaxed and easy.

Jori steps in behind her and closes the door as he tosses his keys onto the table. That stumble about the fine print has him slightly off-balance, and the click of the door doesn't exactly help when it feels so final. It's not so much that his intensity is gone as that it has temporarily retreated behind uncertainty. In the car he was afraid he'd have to risk the temptation to just carry her into the bedroom and now that feels much too bold. But what is he supposed to do when every option feels weird? ]
